How do you know whether the voice you associate with conscience is really God’s voice and not merely your own desires or the voice of imperfect families, friends or teachers? God usually speaks in a voice that is best described as a “still, small voice.” It’s a voice that everybody is capable of hearing. The biggest problem is learning to distinguish that still small voice of God from all the other voices that speak to you.
