Here’s some raw data that you may find interesting…

For the 24 hours of January 6th, 2007
We had 76 new subscribers to the OBA AutoResponder.
Of those, 41 still haven’t clicked the link in their email to
verify their request for information. (The double-opt-in.)
That means 35 people did click the link to verify.
During that same 24-hour period we had 29 ebook sales.

Adjustments:
Some of those subscriptions may have come from Owners who were testing their Lead Capture Page. We don’t know.
Some of those sales may have come from people who subscribed the previous day or even earlier in the week. We don’t know.
Some of those sales may be the result of Owners advertising their OBA.biz Page or even advertising their Sales Page directly. We don’t know.
Since it would be VERY difficult and time-consuming to determine these other factors, the best way to interpret this “raw data” is to view total sign-ups as a ratio of total verified subscriptions… and let the variables “balance out” over time.
In other words, if we were to use the same data taken over a longer period of time (weeks or months), then it wouldn’t matter whether a person subscribed on a Friday or a Saturday.
Also, new sales from people advertising their OBA.biz Page or their Sales Page would artificially increase the sales ratio for the AutoResponder and Owners testing their Lead Capture Page would artificailly decrease the sales ratio for the AutoResponder, so over a longer period of time these two factors would cancel each other out.
Result:
If you’ve been wondering whether or not using your Lead Capture Page to give away the Free Internet Wealth Report is an effective way to generate sales, consider this… 82.9% of those who request the Report (and verify their request) go all the way through the process and purchase an ebook.
That means they’ve read the Report and your OBA.biz Page and your Sales Page!
Even if we include those who DIDN”T verify their request (and therefore haven’t yet received the Report) we have a ratio of 38% of all subscribers completing the process and purchasing an ebook!
In case you’re wondering, a 38% close ratio for a 100% automated sales process is huge… and 82.9% is through the roof!
The only factor that might significamtly influence this is if a LOT of Owners are advertising their OBA.biz Page and/or their Sales Page.
If a significant number of our sales are coming from those pages (without the AutoResponder)… we need to know it so we can adjust those ratios downward accordingly.
SO… if you’re advertising your OBA.biz Page and/or your Sales Page instead of your Lead Capture Page… and you’re getting sales… let me know.
